Management TeamRobert L. Chagares, President and Chief Investment OfficerBob Chagares, President and Chief Investment Officer, is responsible for the High Street funds acquisition team, setting the direction for fund acquisition programs in concert with the portfolio objectives and overseeing fund relations with the brokerage and sales disposition communities. Mr. Chagares directs the project-level debt placement program, and he also directs the fund real estate presale acquisition program. As a member of the Investment Committee, Mr. Chagares participates in the approval process for all acquisitions, business plans, and property dispositions. Mr. Chagares has been involved in real estate development, operations, and management for more than 22 years. He has been responsible for the acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and management of over 15 million square feet of office, industrial, retail, and residential space in the Midwest, Southeast, mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions. Mr. Chagares is a founding member of High Street and its affiliates. Prior to forming High Street Equity Advisors LLC, an affiliate of High Street in 2002, he was with the Trammell Crow Company (TCC), serving as a division president and senior managing director responsible for the Global Service and Development Investment businesses of TCC in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Southern Connecticut markets. He was responsible for the offering of TCC’s full range of services in these markets and for the repositioning of TCC’s offering in the Global Services and Development Investment Services Platform in 2001. In addition, he was appointed to TCC’s Nationwide Operating Committee in 2002. Mr. Chagares joined TCC in Washington D.C. as a leasing agent in 1985 and became a partner in 1988, working for the Washington D.C. office building division. Subsequently, he was appointed managing director for the mid-Atlantic Division’s Washington D.C. operations, where he was responsible for the full service offering including leasing, investment sales, development, tenant representation, and property management. In 1998, he assumed responsibility for TCC’s Northeast Metro Division, which included the Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Delaware markets. Mr. Chagares holds a Bachelors of Arts, cum laude, from Miami University, where he became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He also holds a law degree form Ohio State University College of Law. He is a past vice president of the Board of Directors of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association and a past board member of the Downtown Business Improvement District in Washington D.C. Coughlin, Senior Managing DirectorDan Coughlin, Senior Managing Director, is responsible for capital planning and overall portfolio strategy, including analyzing portfolio operating performance and diversification with respect to achieving overall portfolio objectives. Mr. Coughlin will also be involved in market analysis and financing strategy, as well as overseeing the development of the business plans for fund assets. As a member of the Investment Committee, Mr. Coughlin participates in the approval of all acquisitions, business plans, and property dispositions. Mr. Coughlin has been involved in real estate operations and management for more than 33 years. He has been responsible for the operation, management, and disposition of public, private and institutional portfolios valued at over $16 billion. Mr. Coughlin is a founding member of High Street and its affiliates. Prior to forming High Street Equity Advisors LLC, an affiliate of High Street in 2002, he was responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of a National Operations Center for Trammell Crow Company (TCC). He joined TCC in 1999 upon its acquisition of Phoenix Corporate Services, LLC (PCS). At PCS, he has provided strategic real estate consulting services for non-profit entities as well as for corporate clients. Prior to joining PCS, Mr. Coughlin spent 22 years with New England Mutual Life Insurance Company and its real estate subsidiary, Copley Real Estate Advisors (CREA). At CREA, he was a founder, managing director, and chief operating officer. In that capacity, he served as a member of the board of directors and was on the Investment Policy and Managing Committees, overseeing the management of 650 institutional assets and 27 portfolios. Mr. Coughlin served as president of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries and is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and Institute of Real Estate Management. A Certified Property Manager, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics/Accounting, summa cum laude, from Stonehill College and earned his Masters of Business Administration from Boston University. He received Boston University’s Entrepreneurial Excellence Award and has been on the faculty of the Boston University Graduate Center for Real Estate Education for over 10 years. John T. Killian, Chief Executive OfficerJohn T. Killian, Chief Executive Officer, is a member of the Investment Committee and the corporate management team. Mr. Killian focuses on market trends, operating strategies, and investor relations. He has managed assets and organizations through a number of capital and real estate market cycles and brings this perspective to the management of the funds. As a member of the Investment Committee, Mr. Killian participates in the approval process for all acquisitions, business plans and property dispositions and is integrally involved in limited partner and joint venture partner relationships. Mr. Killian has been involved in real estate development, operations, and management for more than 37 years. He has been responsible for the development of and investment in over $2 billion in joint venture projects with some of the nation’s largest institutions. In addition, he has guided the formation, management, and sales of a number of real estate operating and management companies. Mr. Killian is a founding member of High Street and its affiliates. Prior to forming High Street Equity Advisors LLC, an affiliate of High Street in 2002, he was responsible for the Global Service business of the Trammell Crow Company (TCC) in the Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and New England markets. He joined TCC in 1999, when, as founder and chief executive officer of Phoenix Corporate Services (PCS), the largest provider of corporate outsourced management services in New England, he sold PCS to TCC. At TCC, he was also a member of the Nationwide Operating Committee and a member of the restructuring management team that resulted in the international reorganization of TCC in 2001. Prior to the formation of PCS in 1995, Mr. Killian was president of The Codman Company and was responsible for the creation of Codman Corporate Services, which subsequently was purchased by Phoenix Home Life Insurance, becoming PCS. A graduate of Boston University, Mr. Killian is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Institution of Real Estate Management, and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. |
